I am a writer, producer, and musician.  Though, these days I write more than anything else.

I write all sorts of stuff, but this is my music reviews blog.

I have taught music workshops in both New York and London.  I have produced tracks for artists in the States as well as Australia.  I review mainly indie acts, though once in a while, I’ll throw a major act  a bone.

At the end of the day, a music review is just another person’s opinion; you take it with a grain of salt.  But what the artist has to understand, is that this opinion is coming from someone who listens to lots and lots of music, making the job of distinguishing crap from greatness that much easier.  I don’t believe in bashing another man’s art recklessly.  I recognize that it takes an enormous amount of time, work, dedication, and money to create even a mediocre album.  However, I strive to be fair and look for both the good and bad in any record I’m given.

But at the end of the day, it is still just an opinion.

One Response to “About”

  1. First, I want to say that I love your blog. Pop-punk is something I grew up with and, I’ll admit, it left me for a while. I started to find new genres but I found myself back at the same music scene I was at nearly a decade ago. Because I came to the realization that nothing quite compares to the pop-punk genre, I decided to take my own music back to my roots and record a few new pop-punk songs. After throwing around ideas, I decided on making a pop-punk Christmas EP. Today I’m happy to say my vision is a reality at helloxmas.com where you can hear the EP, shop off-the-wall Christmas cards, and a few other nostalgic items. I’d love if you could write about my new site and/or share it with the community you’ve built. Thanks much for all you do.
